Rocco's is the function room of the Miranda Hotel, the pub at 590 Kingsway next door to Westfield Miranda. The hotel also runs a beer garden, a bistro and a nightclub, but Rocco's is kept purely for private events and can be booked every day of the week between 10am and midnight. The room is styled as a dark, intimate cocktail bar: an Italian marble bar runs along one side, with leather banquettes, booths, small tables and lamp lighting through the rest. It holds up to 90 guests, which suits a milestone birthday, engagement party or end-of-year drinks where people mingle rather than sit down for a formal meal. The events team works through the plan with you beforehand and staff run the bar on the day. Bookings are based on a minimum spend over five hours, divided between food and drinks. Daytime events start at $2,000, made up of $1,000 on food and $1,000 on drinks, while Friday and Saturday nights require $3,000, with $1,000 on food and $2,000 on drinks. Food can be canapés, share-style dishes, grazing boards or an alternate-drop meal. The drinks list covers margaritas, spritzes and martinis alongside tap beer, wine by the glass or bottle and Champagne.
