About Pymble Hotel

The Pymble Hotel sits on the main Pacific Highway strip in Pymble, an easy walk from Pymble railway station and around five minutes from the M2. It is a proper local with a family bistro, a sports bar with big screens, a laneway bar and 14 accommodation rooms for guests who want to stay over. Functions are held towards the back of the historic building, where tall arched windows look out over local bushland and the skyline. The hotel calls this room the View Bar on its website and the Bistro in its function pack; either way it takes groups of up to 100 and comes with its own private bar, a TV, a microphone, an AUX cable for your music and free wifi. Two working fireplaces are lit in the cooler months. The Lounge Bar can also be booked in part or in full for smaller gatherings. Food is served as canapé packages in three sizes, starting at $35 per person for three cold, two hot and one substantial item such as mini cheeseburgers or beer-battered flathead. For drinks you can set up a bar tab with a spending limit and your own drinks list, or let guests buy their own. Functions run on a minimum spend plus room hire, quoted by the events team, and a $300 deposit secures the date.

Canapé packages are $35, $45 or $55 per person. Functions are booked on a minimum spend with a room hire fee on top; the hotel quotes both on enquiry rather than publishing them. A $300 deposit confirms the booking. Security for 18th and 21st birthdays costs $300 per guard.

Food

The canapé menu covers cold items such as bruschetta, smoked salmon blinis and prawn cocktail lettuce cups, hot items such as arancini, duck spring rolls, salt and pepper calamari and party pies, and substantial items including mini cheeseburgers, fried chicken sliders and beer-battered flathead with chips. The kitchen handles nuts, seafood, gluten and dairy, and does its best with dietary requests. Outside food needs management approval.

Beverages

Choose a bar tab with a set amount and your own drinks list, which staff monitor on the night, or a cash bar where guests buy their own from house and craft beers, wine, spirits and cocktails. The beverage list and prices are sent on request. Outside drinks need management approval.
