About Plough & Harrow
The Plough & Harrow is a traditional pub at 75 Argyle Street, in the middle of Camden's main street. It keeps an old-fashioned feel: a public bar with TAB facilities and sport on several screens, a lower bistro lined with historic photos of the building, and a bar stocked with Guinness, Kilkenny and a wide range of whiskies. Bands play on Friday and Saturday nights, and the bistro serves pub classics all day. The Garden Bar is the main space for functions. It is an outdoor dining area with plenty of natural light, taking 70 to 120 guests standing or up to 60 seated, and it is the usual choice for event bookings. For smaller groups, the Lounge Bar has two large round tables that each seat 10, plus a gas fireplace for winter. A few street tables on Argyle Street seat four each, and well-behaved dogs are welcome outside. You can decorate the function spaces yourself, and the pub's photos show balloon arches, dessert tables and long dressed tables set up for parties. For food, the kitchen offers a cocktail food menu and grazing platters as special orders, which must be ordered and paid for 10 days before the event. Drinks are bought from the bar. All functions and large group bookings need a deposit to hold the space. The pub does not cater for 18th or 21st birthday parties. Enquiries go to the pub by email.
