About Pasture of Kirribilli

Pasture of Kirribilli is a restaurant on Fitzroy Street in Kirribilli, a few minutes on foot from the Harbour Bridge. The room is green and leafy, with palm-print wallpaper, leather chairs and a well-stocked bar, and the menu follows a pasture-to-plate approach with a strong Australian-Asian lean from its executive chef. It opens every day for breakfast and lunch, with dinner from Thursday to Sunday. Functions happen upstairs. The first-floor dining room opens onto French-style balconies and can be taken exclusively for up to 35 guests, for lunch or dinner sittings of up to three hours. With 30 or more paying adults there is no room fee; groups of 15 to 29 pay $500 for exclusive use, and smaller groups or a booking of the whole restaurant are priced on request. The venue lists baby showers, birthdays, corporate lunches and small weddings among the events it hosts. Groups eat from a three-course shared function menu: three starters to share, two mains chosen from the list, sides, an individual seasonal dessert and a coffee or tea each. It costs $85 per person, or $98 per person with one drink each (house wine, beer or prosecco). Oysters, a charcuterie platter and a patisserie platter can be added. BYO is not allowed, a 7% surcharge applies to groups over 15, and a credit card holds the booking.

The oyster sauce is incredibly fresh — the vinegar and cucumber give it a light, refreshing lift. The oysters themselves are fresh and delicious. The crab risotto is beautifully done, and the wagyu beef tartare is except…
