About Lady Banks Rooftop
Lady Banks Rooftop sits on top of the Flinders Centre in the middle of Bankstown and is run by Bankstown Sports Club. It takes its name from the Lady Banks rose, a nod to Dorothea Banks, whose husband Sir Joseph Banks gave the suburb its name, and the fit-out leans into that with a garden feel and plenty of greenery around the terraces. The rooftop looks out in every direction, taking in the city skyline to the east and the Blue Mountains to the west. Outside there are lounge settings, high tables and fire pits for cooler evenings, plus a wood fire on the terrace. Inside is a dining room with its own bar and an open kitchen, so a party can use the covered room and still step out for the view. The venue says it can scale a function from a small birthday for 16 people through to a product launch for 450. The kitchen cooks a Mediterranean menu built for sharing, with grazing platters, snacks such as oysters, arancini and lamb kofta, and small and medium plates. The bar pours cocktails alongside seasonal wines, beers and spirits, much of it from local and European producers. For a function, the events team works with you from the first plan through to the night itself; pricing and packages are quoted on enquiry.
