About Highfield Caringbah

Highfield Caringbah is a multi-level hospitality venue at 22-24 MacKay Street, home to The Botanical, the Public House sports bar and Huxley's, an American-style bar with pizzas and live music. The function spaces sit across several floors, and the upper terrace looks out towards the city skyline. The Garden Room is the main indoor space, dressed with real plants hanging from the ceiling and a greenery wall lit with fairy lights; it takes 60 to 80 for cocktails or 45 to 60 seated. The Private Dining Room has its own balcony and holds 40 to 60 standing or 20 to 35 seated. Combine the two with the balcony and the space grows to 80 to 120 for a cocktail party, or 70 to 85 at tables. The Terrace is an outdoor area for 30 to 120, with a DJ from 7:30pm to 11:30pm on Saturday nights, and the Fireplace and Lounge Bar just off it suits 30 to 40 on a cooler night. Spaces come with private bars, TVs, adjustable audio and a microphone, depending on the room. Catering starts with canapé packages for a minimum of 30 guests, ranging from five pieces per guest up to packages with substantial items and a grazing table. For seated events there is a shared set menu served to the table, with a choice of entrees, mains and sides, and a dessert add-on. A whole suckling pig can be carved by the chefs, and kids' canapé platters are available. Three-hour drinks packages cover house beer and wine or a premium list with spirits and cocktails. Guests must be 18 or over for the packages.

Canapé packages are $30, $35, $40, $50 and $60 per guest, with a minimum of 30 guests. Add-ons include a sweet canapé at $5 per person, a grazing station at $10 per person and kids' canapé platters at $25 per person. The shared set menu is $60, $65 or $75 per person, with dessert added for $5. A whole suckling pig experience is $795. Drinks packages are $50 per person (standard, three hours) and $65 per person (premium, three hours).

Food

Canapés include items such as sushi rolls, bruschetta tartlets, arancini, salt and pepper squid, lamb kofta and sausage rolls, with premium options like Sydney rock oysters, prawn ceviche and scallop har gow, and substantial items such as fish and chips, sliders and bao buns. The shared set menu brings focaccia on arrival, entrees like charcuterie or burrata, mains including peri-peri chicken, slow-cooked lamb shoulder and salmon, and sides. A dietary plate covers vegetarian and vegan guests.

Beverages

The standard three-hour package covers house beer, house wine and soft drinks for $50 per person. The premium three-hour package adds all tap beers, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic options for $65 per person. Everyone in the booking must be on the package, final numbers are due 10 days before, and guests must be 18 or over.
