About Enoteca 128
Enoteca 128 is a modern Italian restaurant and wine bar at 11 Grosvenor Lane in Neutral Bay, on the lower north shore. It was opened by three Italians, including chef Gianluca Marongiu and bar manager Richard Trezzi, and the kitchen skips pizza and arancini in favour of dishes built around seasonal Australian produce. Pasta is rolled fresh on site every morning, and the cellar holds around 300 wines, many of them Italian. For celebrations the restaurant takes up to 40 guests at the table or 60 for a standing gathering. The room is warm and relaxed, with pendant lights, timber tables, banquette seating and shelves of bottles along the walls. Groups of eight or more book through an enquiry form or by phone, and dinner runs from 4pm Monday to Saturday, with lunch added on Fridays and Saturdays. The venue is closed on Sundays. There are four ways to feed a group. The Tutti a Tavola sharing menu brings antipasti, pasta, mains and dessert to the middle of the table for $89 per person. The three-course banquet at $99 per person lets guests pick from four entrées and four mains on the night, for up to 18 people. A five-course tasting menu suits groups of up to 16 and can be matched with wines for $70 extra, while groups of eight to ten can order from the full menu with a $110 per person minimum spend. Drinks are charged on consumption from the wine and cocktail lists.
