About Eau-de-Vie Sydney
Eau-de-Vie Sydney is a basement speakeasy entered from Wynyard Lane behind 285 George Street, a short walk from Wynyard Station. It takes its cues from 1920s America: low candlelight, jazz, dark timber, leather booths and a long back bar stacked with spirits, where bartenders build signature cocktails with a bit of showmanship. The venue is table service only and strictly 18 and over, including at private events. There are three event options. Connoisseur's Corner is a nook within the main bar for up to eight seated. The Rare Malts Whisky Room is given over entirely to whisky, with bottle lockers and a dedicated bartender; it seats 36 and holds 40 standing, extending to 44 seated or 55 standing. For bigger parties the whole venue can be booked exclusively, seating 114 or holding 120 standing, with options such as whisky tastings, cocktail masterclasses and champagne or seafood stations. Food packages start with Light Snacks at $45 per person for five canapés, then $75 per person for canapés with cheese and charcuterie, and $130 per person with caviar and oysters added. Drinks can run on consumption against a minimum spend, or as a standard package at $35 per person for each hour or a signature cocktail package at $45 per person for each hour. The events team finalises menus once the date is confirmed, and bookings start with the online enquiry form.
