About Disco Room @ Pelicano
Pelicano takes up the first floor at 33 Bayswater Road in Potts Point, about four minutes on foot from Kings Cross station. One address holds a Mediterranean restaurant, an open-air terrace bar, a cocktail lounge and a nightclub that runs from 10pm to 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, and each of those areas can be hired for a private event. The Disco Room is the club end of the venue. Mirror balls hang across the ceiling, the walls glow pink and violet, booths line the edges and a dancefloor fills the middle, with a pair of neon cheetah murals marking the way in. The house sound system, lighting and DJ booth stay in place for your event, and you can bring your own DJ or entertainer after a quick conversation with the events team. The room is pitched at birthdays, hens and bucks parties, brand nights and after-parties, and it can be combined with the terrace, lounge and restaurant, right up to a buy-out of the whole floor. Food comes from Executive Chef Jose Saulog: roaming canapés at eight pieces a guest for a standing party, or a shared three-course feast in the restaurant before the club opens up to your group. Beverage packages run for two, three or four hours and cover wine, beer and a cocktail on arrival. With notice the kitchen can handle vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free guests as well as allergies. A dedicated event manager handles each booking and replies within a business day with a proposal and an invitation to tour the rooms. The venue is shut to the public from Sunday to Thursday, which leaves those nights open for private hire.

What kind of events suit the Disco Room?
It is set up for dance-floor parties: birthdays, hens and bucks nights, brand parties and after-parties. Groups wanting more room can add the terrace, lounge or restaurant, or take over the whole venue.
Is there a minimum spend for the Disco Room?
Pelicano does not publish set figures. Minimum spends depend on the room, the day and the time of year, so send your date and guest numbers and the events team will quote.
Can we bring our own DJ?
Yes, after a chat with the events team. The room already has an in-house sound system, lighting and a DJ booth if you would rather use those.
Which nights can we book?
Private events run seven days by arrangement. The venue is closed to the public from Sunday to Thursday, so those nights work well for exclusive use, while Friday and Saturday are regular club nights.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Give the team notice and the kitchen will prepare dishes for vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free guests and work around allergies.
