About Sydney Metro Audio Visual
Sydney Metro Audio Visual is an event AV company working from a warehouse in Penrith. It began in 2009 as a crew of two and has grown into a team with its own trucks, its own technicians and a large stock of sound, lighting and screen equipment. Audio sits at the centre of what it hires out: PA systems sized anywhere from a small presentation or party rig through to line arrays built for concert crowds. The audio inventory includes Allen & Heath digital mixing desks and stage boxes, Shure wireless microphones in handheld, headset and lapel styles, lectern and gooseneck mics, drum and vocal mic kits, and DI boxes for plugging in laptops and instruments. Alongside the sound, the company can bring moving-head and LED lighting, lasers, party lights and DJ packages, LED video walls, projectors, staging, and effects such as hazers, smoke, dry ice and confetti cannons. Rather than selling fixed bundles, the team designs each setup around the room, the guest numbers and the budget, and can prepare a layout before the day. On the event itself, the crew delivers, installs, stays on hand while things run and then packs everything down. Every job carries spare equipment, and one production manager looks after a booking from the first call to the finish. The portfolio covers gala balls, end-of-year celebrations, council community days, club nights and concerts, and the company is the preferred AV partner at the Greenwood Hotel in North Sydney. Quotes are prepared for each event, and prices are given exclusive of GST.
