About Bonza Bike Tours
Bonza Bike Tours has been taking riders around Sydney from its shop on Harrington Street in The Rocks since 2004. Its guides lead a set of daily rides on 21-gear hybrid bikes, with an electric bike available as an upgrade on any guided tour. The shortest is the Sydney Highlights Tour, a two-and-a-half-hour afternoon loop of the essential sights. The four-hour Sydney Classic Tour covers more ground, taking in the Opera House, Observatory Hill, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Hyde Park and Mrs Macquarie's Chair, with a ride across the Harbour Bridge and a break at one of the city's oldest pubs. For a group celebration, a private tour gives you your own guide and a plan built around the occasion. The team will put together rides that include a picnic or dinner, a particular route, a birthday, a hens or bucks outing, or even a proposal. Private tours run for up to four hours and are priced per person on a sliding scale by group size. Work teams that would rather skip the bikes can be pointed to the sister company, Bonza Teamworks, for other outdoor events. The routes keep riders on park paths, harbour foreshores and quieter streets as much as possible, and guides are trained in safety procedures. Helmets, bike bags for phones and wallets, and secure storage for larger bags are part of every tour. Tours go ahead in light rain, with ponchos supplied, and run all year. Children's bikes, trail-alongs and baby seats are available, so family groups can ride together. Bookings can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours ahead.
