About Blissful Events
Blissful Events is a decorative hire business run by Kylie and her team out of The Ponds in Sydney's north-west, with more than two decades of styling behind it. The work ranges from 1st birthdays, 21sts and Year 12 formals to corporate gala dinners, Christmas parties and weddings, and the client list takes in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Mercedes Fashion Week and the Rugby World Cup. Hotels and function venues such as Rydges Camperdown have used them for years to dress their rooms. The range is broad. There are more than 10,000 chair covers in lycra, fitted, tie-back and themed styles with sashes and bands in around 80 colours, plus tablecloths, runners, napkins and bar table socks. Centrepieces run from crystal candelabras and feather arrangements in tall vases to terrariums, lanterns and floral pieces, and they also do fresh and artificial flowers, ceiling and wall draping, dessert and candy bars, and outdoor ceremony set-ups with arches and white folding chairs. For the photo corner there are rainbow, velvet and Hollywood backdrops, neon signs reading Twenty One or Happily Ever After, giant LOVE and Vegas letters and mirror or easel signage. Furniture takes in peacock chairs, Tiffany chairs, vintage and retro lounges, a chaise, plinths and bar tables. You can hire as little or as much as you need. Stylists, venues and hosts who want to do it themselves can collect items or have them delivered, while anyone who would rather hand it over can book a free consultation and have the team design, deliver and set up the whole look. Prices for individual pieces are listed in their online hire shop, and centrepieces can be designed around a budget.

How much does it cost to hire a backdrop?
Backdrops start at $150 for the velvet backdrop. The rainbow arch backdrop, which can be painted in a colour of your choice, is $160, and the Hollywood backdrop set is $440.
Can I hire the decorations and set them up myself?
Yes. Blissful Events offers DIY decorative hire, so you can pick up the items you want from them or have them delivered and do the styling yourself. They also supply venues and event stylists this way.
Will they style the room for me?
Yes. Book a free consultation and the team can plan the look, then deliver, set up and style the venue, from draping and centrepieces through to chair covers, the bridal or birthday table and signage.
Do they hire light-up signs for a 21st?
They have a Twenty One neon sign for $40 and a Happily Ever After neon sign for $60, along with giant LOVE and Vegas letters, welcome signs on easels and seating chart frames.
What colours do the chair covers and sashes come in?
They hold more than 10,000 chair covers in lycra, fitted, satin tie-back and themed styles, with organza, satin and hessian sashes and lycra bands in about 80 colours. Covers start from $1.80 each.
