About Phoenix Mentalist
Phoenix is a Sydney-based mentalist who performs psychological mind reading and predictions wrapped in comedy. There is no hypnosis in his mentalism shows. The effects are built around the words, numbers and choices guests give him on the night. He has performed on Australia's Got Talent and Prime Video's Underground Magic, appeared on breakfast and daytime television, and was brought in on X-Men Origins: Wolverine to coach the card handling for Gambit. There are four ways to book him. The stage show suits gala dinners, conferences, awards nights and Christmas parties where the room can face one way, with a working microphone and enough light to see faces. Roving close-up needs no stage, sound or setup: he works through small groups for about five minutes each, which fits cocktail hours, arrivals, networking and trade-show stands. He also works as an emcee to keep a run sheet moving, and he delivers keynotes that use psychological demonstrations to explore intuition and decision making. His comedy hypnosis act, Mind Games, is a separate booking. Over 25 years his corporate clients have included Coca-Cola, IBM, Qantas, Porsche and KPMG, and he has performed more than 1,000 shows at sea on cruise contracts. For private events he brings roving mind reading to birthdays, weddings and VIP celebrations. Prices aren't published. Send the date, venue and rough guest numbers and you'll get a recommendation on format and a quote, usually within one business day.

Frequently asked questions
Is Phoenix's show hypnosis?
No. His mentalism shows are psychological mind reading and composed predictions mixed with comedy, and nobody is put under or forced on stage. Comedy stage hypnosis is available as a separate show called Mind Games if that's what you're after.
What does Phoenix need at the venue?
Roving close-up needs nothing at all: no stage, no AV and no setup, and it can start while guests arrive. The stage show needs a working microphone and lighting that lets the audience see faces, and the set can flex if the run sheet runs long.
When in the night should the show go on?
At awards nights he performs before the awards so the winners keep the spotlight. At gala dinners it fits between courses or once plates are cleared. At Christmas parties it works best earlier in the night, before the party takes over.
Can Phoenix host or emcee our event?
Yes. Besides performing, he works as an emcee and compère who keeps the run sheet on track, links the speeches and awards, and lifts the room when energy drops. He also gives keynote talks built around psychological demonstrations.
How much does it cost to book Phoenix?
Prices aren't published. Send the date, venue and approximate guest numbers through the enquiry form. You'll get a straight recommendation on which format suits the night, and a quote, usually within one business day.
