About Peter Wood Magic
Peter Wood is a children's magician based in Lane Cove with more than 20 years of experience performing for and working with children. He holds qualifications in child care and theatre, and he builds his shows around pace, anticipation and surprise so that young audiences stay engaged from the first trick to the last. Birthday parties are a big part of his work. The birthday child becomes the star by performing their own magic, carefully guided by Peter, and other children join in throughout. Each show is tailored to the age of the audience, and returning families see a different routine on repeat bookings. A show fills around an hour of the party, which gives parents a break while the kids laugh along. He has entertained groups of up to 30 children aged three to ten, and the adults tend to enjoy it too. Preschool performances are where he does most of his work. With early childhood qualifications, he offers three different preschool shows that use colours, shapes, numbers, counting, manners and sharing, with lots of audience participation. The performances help centres meet Early Years Learning Framework outcomes such as curiosity, imagination and problem solving. He also performs at public events, school holiday care programs and corporate family days. Bookings are quoted on enquiry.
