About Estate Vaucluse House
Estate is the restaurant inside the grounds of Vaucluse House, one of the few 19th-century mansion estates left in Sydney, surrounded by around ten hectares of lawns, towering figs and a working kitchen garden. It is run by the Estate and Pearl team, who use produce from that garden across the menus, and it trades as a lunch restaurant, a high tea room and a wedding and events venue. Tables for high tea are booked ahead for Wednesdays through Sundays, need at least two people, and each package is built around a two-hour sitting. The in-house pastry team prepares the tiers: finger sandwiches and warm savouries, buttermilk scones with cream and fruit preserves, then small patisserie such as macarons, cheesecake and eclairs. Ovvio organic tea and espresso coffee are included. The traditional set can be upgraded with a glass of Australian sparkling, a Limoncello, Aperol or Lychee spritz, or unlimited Prosecco and spritzes for the two hours. The menu shifts with the seasons. For bridal showers, baby showers and milestone birthdays, the Terrace Room seats up to 25 guests and opens directly onto the garden terrace, and the team can help with styling and a semi-private setup. Bigger gatherings can book private dining for up to 150, with high tea, shared tableshare menus, long lunches or cocktail-style food. Decorations and speeches need a group booking, as balloons, confetti and speeches are not allowed in the general restaurant.

Frequently asked questions
When is high tea served?
High tea runs Wednesday to Friday from 11:30am to 3pm and on weekends from 10:30am to 3pm. Walk-ins are not taken, and each booking needs at least two people.
How much does high tea cost?
The traditional high tea is $75 a guest. The sparkling version is $85, the cocktail version with a spritz on arrival is $89, and the Endless Spritz package is $105. Each is based on a two-hour booking.
Can we host a bridal or baby shower here?
Yes. The Terrace Room seats up to 25 and opens onto the garden terrace, and the events team can talk through styling and a semi-private arrangement for the group.
Can we bring balloons or give speeches?
Not at an ordinary restaurant table. The main dining room has no balloons, confetti or speeches, so talk with the team about a private or semi-private space.
Can dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes. Let the team know about allergies or dietary needs when you book so they can advise on suitable options. Payments are cashless, and Sunday and public holiday surcharges apply.
