About Bondi Road Balloons

Bondi Road Balloons began on Valentine's Day 2020, when founder Lauren started selling helium heart balloons out the front of H2O Laundry & Dry Cleaning, her other business and a Bondi fixture since 1957. It has since grown into a full balloon studio. Lauren is a certified Master Balloon Professional and an active member of the Australian Balloon Association, and her crew in pink jumpsuits handles deliveries and installs around Sydney. For parties the main product is the custom garland. The Grab and Go range comes in 1.5m, 3.5m and 5m lengths in dozens of colour mixes, and larger installs run from a small 1.5m piece up to garlands beyond 6m for stairwells, entries and stages. Around those they build number towers, ceiling balloons, bubble balloons with personalised vinyl, and hire-only props: arch backdrops in five finishes, giant reusable PVC spheres from 40cm to 200cm, and an easel sign package with custom lettering. A full styling service covers mood boards, colour palettes, prop hire and on-site setup. Orders can be collected from the Bondi Road shop or delivered seven days a week, usually in a late-morning window, with early and evening installs arranged to suit a venue's bump-in. Garlands are fixed with removable hooks, ties or rigging worked out on site, and indoors they hold their shape for up to a week. It suits kids' birthdays, milestone parties, baby showers, school formals and office celebrations, particularly in the eastern suburbs.

Grab and Go garlands are $157.50 for 1.5m, $367.50 for 3.5m and $525 for 5m, with a 2m version at $210 and a 1.5m organic garland at $165. A garland on a pole is $295 and a milestone number with a 2m garland is $220. Arch backdrop hire is $150, or $170 in Midnight, plus a $200 bond. The easel signage package is $110 without balloons, or $275 to $660 with a garland from 1.5m to 5m, plus a $100 bond. Delivery, setup and pickup for hire items starts at $100.

Equipment & Service Details

Garlands are made to order in your chosen colours and installed with removable hooks, ties or rigging to suit the space. Hire props include arch backdrops, giant PVC spheres in iridescent, gold or silver, easels with custom vinyl, plinths, neon signs, shimmer walls and flower walls. The team delivers, sets up and returns to collect hired items, and a refundable bond applies. The hirer pays for loss or damage beyond normal wear, and all packaging must go back with the gear. Air-filled garlands last up to a week indoors, while standard 28cm helium balloons float for roughly 8 to 12 hours.

Do they deliver and set up at the venue?

Yes. They deliver seven days, usually between 11am and 2pm, and can arrange early morning or evening installs to fit your venue's bump-in time. You can also pick up from their Bondi Road shop.

What areas do they cover?

Most deliveries go to the eastern suburbs and the Sydney CBD, but they also deliver and install further afield across Sydney.

Can I hire a backdrop or sign as well?

Yes. Arch backdrops hire for $150 ($170 for the Midnight colour) with a $200 refundable bond, and an easel with custom vinyl signage is $110 on its own or from $275 with a 1.5m garland. Delivery, setup and pickup for hire items starts at $100.

How far ahead should I book?

Next-day delivery is possible on most bouquets and garlands if stock allows. If you book within 14 days of the event, the invoice must be paid in full within 24 hours, and colour or quantity changes cannot be made in the last 72 hours.
