About Silly Cheeks

Silly Cheeks is Maria Mitchell, a face painter and children's entertainer based in Warriewood with more than 15 years of painting at kids parties, community days and charity events. She covers the Northern Beaches from Palm Beach to Manly, and the Upper North Shore from Wahroonga down to Roseville and Chatswood West. She comes to homes, parks and hired halls with all her own gear. There are five packages. Face painting only runs from 90 minutes for up to 16 children through to five hours for up to 50, with jewels, glitter, a design board to choose from and kids music. The face painting and balloons package adds balloon twisting, and a third option fills the gaps between faces with limbo, musical statues, egg and spoon races, and parachute and hula hoop games. The Ultimate Toddler Party brings a toddler jumping castle, which needs level grass and a power point. The hula hoop party, for kids aged six and over, has a hoop dance demonstration, guided lessons and games, and the birthday child keeps a handmade hoop. Maria arrives 10 to 15 minutes before the party starts. She paints the birthday child first, then works through the guests as they arrive and stays until everyone has had a turn. She uses FDA-approved, hypoallergenic paints and keeps her kit clean between jobs. Bookings are made online with a $50 deposit, which is refunded if bad weather forces a cancellation, and the balance is paid by cash or tap after the party.
