About My Pony Party

My Pony Party is a pony hire business based at Galston in Sydney's Hills District. The family breeds its own miniature ponies, which are sized for young riders of about two to eight years old, and also keeps Shetland and Welsh ponies, Arabs, thoroughbreds and donkeys for older children and adults. For themed parties there are white unicorns, and any pony can be prepared to suit the party's look. A pony party happens at your home, venue or another approved spot, and the ponies only need a few metres of safe, open ground to give rides. You choose what the children do: riding, grooming, dressing up, or a combination of all three. Every rider wears a helmet made to the Australian Standard. Bookings run from one pony for one hour up to six ponies across multi-day events, seven days a week, and the team also attends fetes, festivals, fundraisers and corporate functions. If you plan to use a park, the council or landowner has to approve the booking first. The ponies go through training designed for party conditions, including exposure to loud noises, strange smells, children's toys, traffic, water and household pets, so they stay settled among excited guests. Hire starts at $295 per pony per hour with a handler, GST and an hour of travel each way from the farm. Longer trips are quoted before the booking, and any tolls are added to the invoice.
