About The Shining Light
The Shining Light is a charter boat on Pittwater, run by Shining Light Charters from Newport on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Owner Zac and a deckhand skipper every trip, and the boat is set up for relaxed BYO days on the water: birthdays, hens and bucks groups, and friends who want a swim, some music and a long lunch in one of Pittwater's bays. She carries up to 36 people. The upper deck is laid with artificial turf and strung with festoon lights, with a long bar table and stools, and the covered deck below has bench seating and a TV. A Bluetooth sound system plays your playlist, a floating mat goes out for swimming, and the kitchen has an oven, stovetop, fridge and microwave alongside an outdoor BBQ with utensils. Food and drink are BYO. The boat supplies ice and eskies, drinking water, plastic cups and wine glasses, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, timber cheese boards, a cocktail shaker and a slushie machine. Order through Dan Murphy's click and collect and the crew will pick up the alcohol and have it cold before you arrive. For catering, order from partner Norma's Deli for pick-up to the boat, or choose a grazing, BBQ skewer or pizza package. Charters leave from Newport Wharf, with Palm Beach and Church Point pick-ups available on request.
