About Monkey Business

Monkey Business is a 12-metre Noosa Cat 4400 power catamaran that comfortably hosts up to 34 guests, even though she's licensed for 42, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and enjoy the harbour. Step inside the sheltered cabin to find a cosy lounge, kitchen and bathroom, while clear rainproof walls mean the good times continue whatever the weather decides to do. The outdoor deck has been styled with fake grass and tropical plants for a relaxed, resort-style feel, and the onboard sound system is powerful enough to plug in a BYO DJ setup if you want to keep the dancefloor going. A swimming platform and hot water outdoor shower make it easy to cool off during the warmer months, and there's a BBQ on board for those who want to keep the catering casual. For a bit of extra fun on the water, guests can request the complimentary 6-metre Bullfrog Lilypad and Stand Up Paddleboard, or try out the unique Air Lounger, both great ways to make the most of a sunny Sydney Harbour day.

Pricing

Charters start from $600 per hour with a minimum booking of 4 hours. If you'd like to set up or decorate before your event, pre-loading is available at Mosman Bay or Lavender Bay for a $75 fee, or at Rose Bay for a $100 fee, provided it's the first charter of the day at that wharf.

Food

Catering is flexible on Monkey Business. You're welcome to bring your own food, or make use of the onboard BBQ facility and BBQ menu. A canape and platter menu is also available, and table dining is set up for guests who prefer a sit-down meal. Plates and cutlery are provided if you choose to BYO food.

Beverages

Drinks are BYO only aboard Monkey Business. Disposable cups are provided, along with ice for your BYO beverages, so all you need to do is bring your favourite drinks along.

Wharfs & Availability

Monkey Business is available for charter every day, though it's best to check the real-time calendar or enquire directly to confirm a date. Charters run for a standard 4 hours, with daytime bookings preferred to start between 11.00am and 12.00pm, and later starts up to 1.30pm considered subject to availability. As a general rule, charters aren't scheduled to finish later than 10.00pm.

Convention Wharf in Darling Harbour is the main pick-up point for this vessel, with Crown Towers at Barangaroo also a popular choice. King St Wharf in the CBD, Lavender Bay Wharf, Taronga Zoo, Rose Bay, Double Bay, Mosman Bay and Manly are all available subject to availability, and other wharves around Sydney Harbour can be arranged on request, though additional fees may apply.
