About Caviar
Caviar has one of the more unusual back stories on Sydney Harbour. She was launched in England in 1955 as HMS Wintringham, a minesweeper built by Samuel J. White, and came to Australia in the 1960s, arriving in Sydney as deck cargo before serving as a navy diving tender named HMAS Seal. After being decommissioned she passed through private hands under several names before being refitted and renamed Caviar. Today she is a 34.4-metre motor yacht with a 6.75-metre beam, restored woodwork and a classic profile, fitted out with a rooftop bar and a jacuzzi. Below deck there are two VIP suites and six double suites, which lets Caviar Cruises run overnight trips, weekend getaways and longer coastal holidays as well as day events. For parties and functions she takes up to 70 guests, looked after by hostesses and a professional crew. Events are booked as one of three four-hour packages. The BYO package lets you bring your own food and drinks while the crew handles set-up, service, pack-down and cleaning. The Premium package adds gourmet canapés or set menus with premium wine, beer and spirits, and the Deluxe package brings a private chef, a mixologist and top-shelf drinks. Premium and Deluxe include use of the jacuzzi and a floating lily pad. Clay shooting and other activities by tender can be added, and extra time is charged by the hour.

How many guests can Caviar host?

What are the event packages?
BYO, where you supply the food and drinks; Premium, with gourmet food and premium drinks; and Deluxe, with a private chef, a mixologist and a top-shelf bar. Each runs for four hours, with set-up, pack-down, cleaning and the wharf fee included.
Where do we board Caviar?
Caviar picks up and sets down at the Elizabeth Macarthur Bay public pontoon in Pyrmont or the Rose Bay floating pontoon.
Can we stay on board overnight?
Yes. Caviar Cruises runs overnight stays, weekend getaways and longer holiday itineraries, quoted on enquiry.
What are the payment terms?
A $1,000 non-refundable deposit secures the date, the rest of the charter fee is due 14 days before the event, and a refundable $1,000 bond is paid a week out. Quoted prices exclude GST.
