Al's view is that tradition is a menu, not a rulebook. Couples hold on to whatever feels right, a white dress, a first kiss, a favourite reading, and quietly drop the rest. Her own wedding had no gendered bridal party and no giving away, and she helps couples shape a ceremony with the same freedom. The process is straightforward. A phone or video call comes first, then an in-person meeting starts the legal paperwork. A questionnaire collects your stories, and the Heaps Married Handbook offers guidance if you plan to write your own vows. A second face-to-face catch-up, about seven days out, settles the final details and the remaining forms. On the day she arrives early with a wireless PA, warms up your guests and leads a ceremony of 20 to 30 minutes, and once it is over she submits the paperwork and talks you through changing your surname if you plan to. Newcastle and Lake Macquarie couples can choose the Whole Shebang for a full wedding, an elopement for a gathering of around twenty, perhaps on a favourite beach, or a legals-only signing. Travel is included within 50 km of Newcastle, and a fee may apply beyond that.

Does Al charge travel to Lake Macquarie?
