About The Orrong Hotel
The Orrong Hotel is a corner pub at 709 High Street in Armadale, rebuilt in Art Deco style and run as a local where people come for the footy, a counter meal and a drink. It takes private functions across several rooms, from fully private spaces upstairs to semi-private corners of the downstairs bar. Upstairs are two private rooms. The Robbie Flower Room seats 30 or holds 40 standing, and the Krakouer Bro's Room seats 50 or holds 70 standing. Book both together and you have the whole top floor and its bar to yourselves, with space for 110 standing. That suits a big birthday, an engagement party or an end-of-year work event that wants its own level. Downstairs, the Barassi Room is semi-private with tall tables and chairs, taking 30 seated or 50 standing. The covered courtyard seats 20 or fits 50 standing and has a projector screen, while the Snug Bar takes 50 standing in the cooler months. Food runs from canapé selections to shared-entrée set menus with a choice of main, and the kitchen will look at a custom menu if you ask. Drinks can be a timed package, a bar tab or pay-as-you-go, with the host covering the room's minimum spend. A minimum spend applies to every space and is quoted when you enquire, as it changes with the season, day and time. Send an enquiry to book, and a $500 deposit secures any upstairs function.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can The Orrong Hotel take for a function?
Upstairs, the Robbie Flower Room holds 40 standing and the Krakouer Bro's Room holds 70 standing. Combine the two and the whole top floor takes 110 standing. Downstairs, the Barassi Room, the courtyard and the Snug Bar each fit around 50 standing.
Is there a minimum spend for function rooms?
Yes, every space carries a minimum spend. The figure depends on the season, the day and the time, so the venue gives it to you when you enquire. If guests buy their own drinks, the host still needs to cover the minimum spend.
What food packages are on offer?
Canapés start at $30 per person for four choices, rising to $40 for six and $50 for eight, with a minimum of 20 guests. There are also two-course set menus at $50 and $70 per person, with cheese or dessert added for $10 per person. Dietary needs are catered for with enough notice, and the kitchen is open to building a custom menu.
Can we bring a DJ or band?
Yes, DJs and live acts are welcome as long as they bring all their own speakers and cables, since the pub does not supply them. Music has to wrap up by 10:45pm because of noise limits.
Can we bring our own cake and decorations?
You can bring a cake, and the staff will provide plates, serviettes and a knife so you can cut and serve it yourselves. Centrepieces, tablecloths, LED candles, weighted balloons and freestanding signs are fine. Confetti, glitter, sparklers and anything stuck to the walls or ceiling are not allowed.

I really liked this pub with friendly and helpful crew. Local Orong lager made a pleasant change while the Sunday roast was really enjoyable with extra gravy and no fuss.

Had to try the Parma and pot deal here for a change up. For $26 for a Parma and a pot, it’s a great deal. Decent sized tasty Parma and good chips and salad.
