About Ripponlea Food & Wine
Ripponlea Food & Wine is a modern European restaurant in a corner building on Glen Eira Road, across from Ripponlea station. It has been running since 2014, serving dinner from Tuesday and lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday, with a look built around dark timber, brushed metal and green velvet booths. The restaurant splits into four areas that can be booked for events. The Cocktail Bar holds 45 standing or 25 to 30 seated, and the Back Dining Room beside the open kitchen takes 20 to 28 standing or 22 seated. The Front Dining Room seats 20 to 27 at one long table, or 30 to 35 across two tables in an L shape. The Private Dining Room is a small, moody room with an oval table, emerald carpet and a chandelier, seating six to nine with a dedicated waiter. Hire the whole venue and you can host up to 80 guests. For stand-up events, guests choose four, five or six canapés plus a mini bowl, with extras such as lobster rolls, wagyu cheeseburgers and churros. Seated groups pick a two or three course menu with guest choice, and grazing boards of cheese and charcuterie can start the night. Drinks run on three-hour packages at three levels, priced separately for daytime and evening events, with spirits, cocktails on arrival and French champagne as add-ons. Groups of any size can also drink on consumption with one bar tab settled at the end. Restaurant bookings cover groups up to about 20, and larger events are handled by the events team, which can also tailor a menu. Send an enquiry to book.
