Quat Quatta

About Quat Quatta

Quat Quatta is a Victorian mansion on Quat Quatta Avenue in Ripponlea, built in 1890 and run as a private event venue by a team that has hosted parties for more than 50 years. The house keeps its high ceilings, ornate plaster roses, fireplaces and stained glass, with modern touches such as outdoor bars, grazing tables, festoon lighting and DJ booths. Weddings are its main trade, but it also hosts birthdays, christenings, milestone celebrations and corporate events. The Dining Room is the centre of the house: chandeliers and wall lamps, European fabrics and a large parquetry dance floor beneath original stained-glass windows that are lit from behind at night. It seats 50 to 170 guests at round or long tables, and the whole venue holds up to 400 for a cocktail-style event. The Drawing Room has a fireplace and marble high bars and opens to the verandah and courtyard, which is enclosed by tall hedges and has a bronze fountain, pop-up bars and festoon lights. A bridal suite with its own fireplace gives the wedding party somewhere private to retreat to. The dance floor carries no noise restrictions. All food is cooked in-house, with formal a la carte dining, shared boards, roving cocktail food and oyster bars that can be mixed within one event. The drinks list covers cocktails, wine, beer and whisky, and you can choose particular wines for your guests. Prices are given on enquiry by phone or email, and the events team handles planning through to the day itself.
