Whitestone is a wedding and events venue on North Road in Bentleigh East. Guests come in through large white doors to a dark, floral-styled bar area in a New York style, and then the drapes open onto the ballroom, which comes ready-styled: a permanent ceiling of silk flowers, crystal chandeliers, glossy white flooring and gold Tiffany seating. Parking is directly across the road. The ballroom takes up to 300 guests at round or rectangular tables with black or white linen, and it also hosts ceremonies, with the room flipped while guests have cocktails in the bar. Hire includes in-house surround sound, up-lighting and a microphone, with DJs and bands bringing their own equipment, plus access to hidden photography spots such as an upstairs white room with a floral backdrop. Weddings and receptions, Nikkah and Indian celebrations, engagement parties, anniversaries and vow renewals are all hosted here. Venue hire starts at $5,280 from Monday to Thursday and $7,260 from Friday to Sunday, and the fee doesn't change with guest numbers. There's no in-house catering for events: you bring a caterer you like or choose one from the venue's guide of caterers across many cuisines, using the fully equipped commercial kitchen. Drinks run as a bar tab, BYO spirits are allowed with corkage, and security is required whenever alcohol is served. A 50% deposit confirms the date, with final payment due 30 days before the event, and a dedicated event specialist helps with vendors and the run sheet.
