About Lakeside Pavilion

Lakeside Pavilion sits at 36 Lakeside Drive on the shore of Albert Park Lake, a short hop outside the CBD. It is a dedicated events building rather than a bar or restaurant, run by its own events team, and it takes everything from milestone birthdays and engagement parties to gala dinners, graduation dinners, school formals and weddings. The main hall is a long, light space with tall arched windows on the water side, a neutral fit-out and a striking central bar. Movable walls let the room be divided, so a group of 50 or so does not rattle around in it, while the full floor holds 900 for a cocktail party, 450 seated without a dance floor or 400 seated with one. A covered balcony runs off the hall and looks down over the lake, with clear roll-down sides for cooler nights. A timber dance floor adjusts up to 7.2 metres square, and built-in AV covers two projector screens, two cordless microphones, a lectern, a PA and a stage, with a separate green room for speakers or the guest of honour. Food is cooked in-house. Cocktail events run on canapé packages of six, eight or ten items, with substantial items and late-night snacks as add-ons, and seated events take a plated menu of one, two or three courses served alternately. Drinks are sold as packages by the hour across three tiers, and cocktails or spirits can be added. Security is arranged by the venue, and a two-hour bump-in and one-hour pack-down are built into every booking.

Food

Everything is cooked by the in-house kitchen. Cocktail events choose six, eight or ten canapés from vegetarian, seafood, meat and sweet lists, with substantial items such as sliders, bao and souvlaki at extra cost. Seated events choose a plated menu of up to three courses, served alternately, with sides and table upgrades like charcuterie, cheese or dips. Low-gluten, low-dairy, vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked on the menus.

Beverages

Drinks are sold as packages charged per person by the hour, in three tiers covering wine, sparkling, beer, cider and soft drinks. Cocktails can be added per glass, and spirits packages are priced on request.

Availability

Bookings are made through the venue's events team by phone, email or enquiry form, and venue tours can be arranged. Every event includes a two-hour bump-in and a one-hour pack-down.
