Quiz Room Melbourne turns a trivia night into a television game show. At 75 Peel St in West Melbourne there are two private rooms, each fitted with six lit podiums, screens and buzzers, and a recorded host called Amber runs the questions while a Quiz Master keeps an eye on things. Play is built around rounds whose rules change, plus jokers that let you block a rival or pinch their points, so a quick-thinking team can beat a room of know-it-alls. Questions lean on pop culture, film, music and observation rather than school-style general knowledge. There are several formats. The Original Quiz mixes themes you choose in advance, the Music Quiz asks you to name the artist and song with eras from the 1950s to the 2020s, and The Mole hands one player every answer while the rest try to unmask them. A kids' version suits ages 8 to 12. Each room takes 3 to 18 players; with more than six, teams of two or three share a podium. Two games take about an hour of play, or add a third for ninety minutes, and the session ends with a winners' ceremony and a scorecard review in the lounge. It suits birthdays, hens and bucks groups, families and office team-building, and bigger groups can ask for a quote. For a personal touch you can write up to ten questions about the guest of honour, which are slotted into the game. Pricing is per player and drops for groups of seven or more. Bookings are paid online in full, though the cost can be split between guests and late additions can pay by card on the day.

How much does Quiz Room Melbourne cost?
Prices are per player. For two games it is $45 each for 3 to 6 players and $40 each for 7 to 18; three games are $60 and $55. A kids' party of at least 8 is $35 for two games or $50 for three.
How many people can play at once?
Each of the two Melbourne rooms takes 3 to 18 players across six podiums, so larger groups share a podium in pairs or trios. You can't play with fewer than three, and groups of more than 18 should ask for a quote.
How long should we allow for a session?
Each quiz game runs 30 to 40 minutes. With team set-up, the briefing and the winners' ceremony, plan on about 1 hour 15 minutes on site for two games, or about 1 hour 45 minutes if you add a third.
Can children play at Quiz Room?
Yes. Players can join from age 8, and the questions are matched to the ages and interests in each player profile. There is also a dedicated kids' quiz for 8 to 12 year olds, with its own party pricing for groups of eight or more.
Can we add our own questions about the birthday person or bride?
Yes. For $100 per group you can write up to ten custom questions, which are mixed into your games. Choose the option when booking and submit the questions through the writing guide no later than two hours before your session.
