About Cubetown Glen Waverley
Cubetown sits on level four of Kingsway Central in Glen Waverley, and this was the first venue the brand opened. The idea is simple: games where you move instead of holding a controller. There are six arenas, each with its own screen to choose a game, a mode and a difficulty. Vertigo is a climbing wall with holds that light up, Cubes turns the floor into glowing tiles, Swish is a hoops challenge with soft balls, Bullseye is a throwing game with decoy targets, Sequence has you racing between buttons and freezing on command under motion sensors, and Pixels uses giant controllers in front of a huge pixel-style screen. Each game takes a few minutes, so a group can work through every room and replay the ones they want to beat. Teams pick a name at check-in, get a QR code, and finish by checking the weekly leaderboard. Co-operative modes chase a shared score, competitive ones split the group into as many teams as you like, and slower sensory light and photo modes suit anyone who wants a calmer pace. Nobody needs to be fit or a gamer, but comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes are a must. For birthdays, the Cubetown Party option adds the events room for two hours. It seats up to 24, or more standing, and you can bring food, a cake (there is a fridge to store it) and decorations, plus alcohol-free drinks. A digital invitation template is sent after booking, and the team can run the session as a tournament. Work groups, schools and bigger celebrations can take exclusive use of the venue: up to 36 players across all six rooms, or up to 50 guests with shared play time. Kids from six are welcome, so the venue works for families as well as adults.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to hire the whole of Cubetown Glen Waverley?
Exclusive use of the venue at peak times is $1,300 for the first hour and $1,000 for each extra hour for up to 36 players, or $1,500 then $1,200 an hour for up to 50 guests. Off-peak rates are lower, at $800 and $600 for up to 36 players.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Cubetown doesn't serve food, so groups with party room access can bring or order in their own snacks, catering and cake, along with their own plates and cutlery. Basic drinks are sold on site, but outside alcohol is not allowed.
How big a group can play together?
A standard booking takes up to eight players, and each room is built for up to six at a time, so larger groups split between rooms or book back-to-back. An exclusive booking runs up to 36 players at full play time, or up to 50 guests.
Is Cubetown suitable for kids?
Yes, it is recommended for ages six and up, and children five and under can join free with a paying adult. Kids eight and under must be supervised by a paying adult the whole time, and children aged 9 to 12 need an adult at the venue.
What should we wear, and how do we find the entrance?
Wear comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes, as you will run, jump and climb. The main entrance is the lift facing Kingsway, and there are stairs at the back of the building from the car park off Glendale Street and Montclair Avenue. Parking gets busy at meal times, so arrive early.
