About JP Photography
JP Photography is run by Paul, a Melbourne-based photographer with more than a decade of wedding and event work behind him, alongside his wife, who films weddings and events. Together they can cover a day in both stills and video without the couple having to coordinate two separate suppliers. Paul's approach is informal. Rather than long portrait sessions, he follows the day as it unfolds – the couple, the guests, the speeches and the dance floor – and takes as many or as few posed shots as people want. Each booking begins with a free consultation by phone or video to plan the timeline around the available light. A final run-through follows two weeks before the wedding. Wedding coverage comes in three lengths: Diamond runs eight hours, Gold covers five hours from the aisle onwards, and Silver is a two-hour option suited to registry ceremonies and elopements. All include unlimited edited images in a private online gallery and a preview the next day. Photo and video packages add multi-angle 4K filming, a documentary edit and a short highlight video. Beyond weddings, the team photographs debutante balls, school functions, birthday parties and engagements, with group setups, roaming coverage and action shots. What wedding packages does JP Photography offer?
There are three: Diamond covers eight hours, Gold five hours from the aisle to the reception formalities, and Silver two hours for a registry ceremony or elopement. Extra hours can be added to any of them.
Can we get video as well as photos?
Yes. Paul's wife films weddings and events, and the photo and video packages add at least two camera angles in 4K, a documentary-style film set to your chosen music and a short highlight video.
How soon do we see our photos?
A preview set arrives the day after the wedding, and the full gallery of unlimited edited, full-resolution images follows in a private online gallery that can be downloaded and shared.
Does JP Photography cover events other than weddings?
Yes. The team photographs debutante balls, school functions, birthday parties and engagements, offering formal group setups, roaming coverage of guests and lit action shots of dancing.
What happens before the wedding day?
Every enquiry starts with a free, no-obligation consultation by phone or video. About two weeks out there is a final catch-up to run through the timeline, which is also when the remaining balance is due.
