About Bright Light Weddings
Bright Light Weddings is a Melbourne photography and videography team that works only on weddings. Director of Photography Dawei leads the stills side with senior photographers Suresh and Sherman, while co-founder Will heads the video crew. The team says it has documented more than 600 couples, and its style leans towards natural, candid moments rather than stiff, forced posing. Couples can book photography on its own, video on its own or the two combined. Every package includes a large set of edited images with black-and-white versions, a highlights film and a longer documentary film in 4K, and drone coverage at no extra charge. Higher tiers add a second videographer, an Instagram reel, a sneak-peek set of retouched images and, at the top level, a venue orientation session with both directors. The packages are quoted around an eight-hour day, but hours can be added or taken away at the hourly rate, so a shorter ceremony-and-portraits booking costs less. A deposit holds the date and the balance is due by the wedding day. The galleries show garden and estate weddings, city portraits and relaxed couple sessions, with plenty of guest interaction in between.
