Clear allFitzroy weddings here come in two shapes. One is a family-run event space on Brunswick Street with a dance floor and a sunny courtyard; the other is a restored room inside the Builders Arms Hotel, the Gertrude Street pub that dates to 1853. Comparing the two for the big day:
Couples planning a long night with dancing tend to suit The Wolfhound, while a reception built around a sit-down meal and speeches sits naturally in the Bowery Room.

Downstairs at The Wolfhound takes 60 to 200, and its Gallery upstairs takes 80. In the Bowery Room, it's 60 at tables or 100 standing.
In The Wolfhound's Main Room, which has space for a dance floor and live music or a DJ; the furniture is modular, so tables can be moved aside when it's time.
Not at The Wolfhound, where an outside caterer or your own cooking is welcome. The Bowery Room's food comes from the Builders Arms kitchen.
The Wolfhound has a planted courtyard that seats around 50. The Bowery Room looks over the pub's courtyard below.
