About Tulloch Wines
Tulloch has been making wine in the Hunter for more than 130 years, and four generations of the family have had a hand in it. Its cellar door on De Beyers Road in Pokolbin is set among vines below the Brokenback Range, with indoor rooms and outdoor spaces. Rather than a quick pour at the counter, visits are run as booked tasting experiences, and each booking is given its own private tasting area, which suits a group that wants to sit down together. The experiences change the food rather than just the wine list. One matches a guided flight with handmade chocolates from a local maker, while the Hunter Heroes tasting comes with a board of local cheese and charcuterie, and a vegetarian board is offered on many of the tastings. Staff take the group through the range, including wines sold only at the cellar door and older releases from the museum collection. Groups of up to ten can book online, and bigger parties are arranged by email with the cellar door team. Tulloch is relaxed about mixed groups. Children can do a Junior Tasting, with four drinks, four nut-free snacks and an activity sheet, and teenagers or anyone not drinking can have a kombucha tasting with a local cheese box. For work groups, the events team can put together a tasting as part of a team building day, book the Hector boardroom for a meeting, or hand over the whole cellar door for a private event, with pricing quoted on enquiry.

How big a group can book a tasting?
Groups of up to ten can book a tasting experience online. For a larger party, email the cellar door team and they will arrange the booking and set aside space for you.
What food comes with the tastings?
Several experiences include food: one matches each wine with a local handmade chocolate, and the Hunter Heroes tasting comes with local cheese and charcuterie. A vegetarian board is available on many of them.
Do we need to book ahead?
Yes. Each booking is given a private tasting area, so Tulloch asks every visitor to book, including children, teenagers and anyone not drinking.
Can children and non-drinkers join the group?
Yes. Kids can add a Junior Tasting with four drinks, four nut-free snacks and an activity page, and teens or non-drinkers can choose a kombucha tasting paired with a local cheese box.
Does Tulloch host corporate groups?
Yes. The team runs tailored tastings for team building, hosts meetings in the private Hector boardroom and takes bookings for the whole cellar door. Pricing is quoted on enquiry through events@tullochwines.com.
