About The Wedding Cinematographer
The Wedding Cinematographer is a small collective of trained wedding filmmakers, led by head of cinematography Zac Heath. Zac came to weddings from surf and fashion work, and the team's approach shows it: candid, unposed footage, natural light, and no cheesy music or heavy colour grading. On the day the crew mingles with guests and stays out of the way, picking up the small exchanges and reactions that give a film its feeling. The Hunter Valley is a regular stage for their work. Their journal features weddings at Bimbadgen Estate, Redleaf in Wollombi and Tamburlaine Organic Wines, and their list of favourite Hunter venues includes Dark Horse Vineyard at Lovedale and Wallalong House near Morpeth. They like to send the drone up at sunset over the vines whenever the light allows. There are three standard packages. The elopement and micro wedding film starts at $2,750 including GST for three to four hours with one cinematographer, a two to three minute film, drone coverage and a short social clip. The Essentials package, their most booked option, adds a second cinematographer, eight hours of coverage and a three to four minute film from $4,400, and the Everything package adds full ceremony and speech edits plus the social package from $5,500. Extras include genuine Super 8 film, extra hours of coverage and standalone speech or ceremony edits. Films come on a USB delivered in person or by post, along with an online copy. The team does not offer photography and refers couples to photographers they work with.
