About Soho DJ
Soho DJ is the business of DJ Lachie, a Wamberal-based DJ with more than 500 weddings, work functions and private parties behind him. Every booking is built around the event in front of him: the music, the genres and the timing are set with the client beforehand, and the set is mixed live on the night, indoors or outdoors. The kit is the same whichever package you choose. Lachie arrives with a QSC or Bose speaker system, a lighting package for the dance floor, a wireless microphone for speeches and announcements, and the white timber SOHO DJ table that appears in most of his photos. Weddings can add music for the canapé hour or extra DJ hours on top of the reception, and the number of hours is the first thing he asks about when you enquire. Travel is free anywhere on the Central Coast, from the Peninsula to Wyong and the hinterland. A non-refundable $700 deposit holds the date, with the balance due three weeks out, and the DJ form with your song choices goes back at the same point. The set-up needs a space of about four metres by two with a power point within ten metres, and it is worth telling him if the venue runs a noise limiter.

How much space and power does Soho DJ need?
Allow an area of roughly four metres by two metres for the DJ table, speakers and lights, plus a power point no more than ten metres away. Let him know beforehand if the venue has a noise limiter fitted.
Is there a travel fee on the Central Coast?
No. Travel is included for any event on the Central Coast. Events further afield are charged extra for travel, so mention the venue when you ask for a quote.
How do we choose the music?
Clients complete the SOHO DJ form about three weeks before the event, listing the songs and styles they want. If the form arrives within ten days of the date, a one-off $80 fee applies.
How is a booking secured?
A $700 deposit, paid within seven days of the invoice, confirms the date and is not refundable. The remaining balance is due three weeks before the event, and cancelling inside twelve weeks means the full invoice is still payable.
Can the DJ set up well before the guests arrive?
Set-up within the three hours before the start is included. A set-up earlier than that on the same day adds a one-off $150, and setting up a day or more ahead is arranged when you book.
