About Virtual Room Sydney
Virtual Room Sydney brings a team escape game into virtual reality. On level 5 of 393 George Street in the CBD, groups pull on headsets and controllers and step into worlds built by the company's own production studio, then work together to solve puzzles before time runs out. Each player has their own nine-square-metre space to move around in, and what you do with your body is mirrored in the game, which is why the team says players don't get motion sickness. Adventures last 45 minutes and include settings like the surface of the moon, ancient pyramids and a prehistoric zoo. Every mission is built for teams of 2 to 4, but there is no upper limit on the group. Larger bookings are split into several teams that play side by side in separate rooms, and you can choose the mission with the game master on arrival. For adult birthdays, hens and bucks parties, the session can finish with Planet Party, a personalised bonus level where up to 12 players gather in one virtual party world with the guest of honour's name, photos and voice messages built in. Kids birthday parties for ages 10 to 15 run for two hours, covering the briefing, the 45-minute mission, the bonus level and an hour for snacks, with soft drinks, lollies and tableware supplied and staff looking after the group. Players need to be at least 8, and anyone under 16 must come with an adult on standard bookings. For team building, Virtual Room hosts at the venue or can set up VR experiences at your own office or event.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can play together?
Every mission is played in teams of two to four. Larger groups are welcome and are simply divided into several teams, for example a group of five becomes one team of three and one of two.
What does it cost?
Standard sessions start from $55 per person for a 45-minute adventure, paid in full when booking online. Kids birthday parties for ages 10 to 15 have their own package pricing, available on enquiry.
Will virtual reality make me feel sick?
The games are designed so your movements in the game match your real movements, which avoids the mismatch that causes nausea. The experience isn't recommended for people with epilepsy.
What is the minimum age?
Players must be at least 8 years old, and under-16s need an adult with them. Kids birthday parties are for ages 10 to 15 and children can be dropped off while staff host the party.
Can we bring food and drinks?
Food and drink aren't allowed in the game rooms, and outside food needs approval first. For kids parties, Virtual Room supplies soft drinks, lollies and tableware, and you can bring a birthday cake.

Had such a great time. Kids loved Time travel 1. They loved how you could pick things up and throw stuff. The young man who worked there was very friendly, helpful and approachable. Will be back for sure!

Went for the Asterix VR with my 9yo and we had a great time. You really feel like you’re living in the village and playing with the cartoon characters. Different settings and challenges. Excellent!
