About Immersive Gamebox Sydney
Immersive Gamebox is at Aquarium Wharf in Darling Harbour, next door to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. Each Gamebox is a private room with game projections on the walls. Players wear a light visor with sensors, worn like a cap, and play by moving, touching the walls and working together, so there is no VR headset. The library includes Squid Game, Batman, Ghostbusters, Escape AI, Floor Is Lava, Angry Birds and PAW Patrol, with most games running 60 minutes and a few running 30. A Gamebox holds up to six players. Bigger groups are split into teams and booked into several boxes that play at the same time, and bookings are private, so you never share a box with strangers. For adult groups there are two Game and Drink packages with 60, 90 or 120 minutes of play: Level One adds a 30-minute drink package for 6 to 48 guests, and Level Two adds a 60-minute package for 12 to 48. Corporate socials can take six Gameboxes plus a private space for 25 to 36 people, and the team can put together custom packages for hens and bucks groups, team building and school groups. The kids' birthday package needs at least 10 guests. It runs 60 to 120 minutes of gameplay, then moves to a party area for pizza, fries and unlimited squash. A store-bought cake can be brought in for a $25 fee. Games suit ages 3 and up, though most are pitched at 8 and over and Squid Game at 12 and over. Anyone under 12 needs an adult with them. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to check in, and use the free lockers for your bags.
