About Soultrap
Soultrap is a basement cocktail bar at 70-72 Campbell Street in Surry Hills, close to the CBD and public transport. Below street level you'll find exposed brick, warm low lighting and vintage styling, and the bar trades Tuesday to Saturday from 4pm with cocktails, cheese and charcuterie boards and pizzas. It also runs comedy, burlesque and live music nights, and hosts private functions. The space holds up to 120 guests and can be hired exclusively or shared. The layout changes to suit the night: high tables for mingling, a seated dinner, a spot for speeches, room for a DJ or band, or a cleared dance floor. Lit timber cabinets around the room can be dressed with your own decorations, and the team is used to themed parties, from twenties glamour and mobster nights to nineties nostalgia and masquerades. The basement's acoustics also suit music launches. Food and drinks are put together for each event rather than sold as fixed packages. Catering options include hot and cold canapés, grazing boards, charcuterie platters, mini mains and desserts, with dietary needs covered, and outside caterers can be brought in. Behind the bar there are wines, craft beers, ciders and house cocktails, and you can choose a bar tab or a drinks package, or have a signature cocktail made for the occasion. Venue hire includes an event coordinator, bar and floor staff, AV equipment and furniture, and a magic mirror photobooth can be added.
