About Pyrmont Point Hotel
Pyrmont Point Hotel is a pub at 59 Harris Street, Pyrmont, with bars, a bistro and a covered verandah. Its function areas sit on the first floor, and the pub hosts everything from birthdays and engagement parties to Christmas lunches, corporate meetings and community nights such as trivia and club presentations. There are four function areas, each priced on a minimum spend rather than a hire fee. The Speakeasy seats 20 or takes 35 for cocktails. Margot's Lounge seats 30 or holds 50 standing. Karma and the Verandah each seat 40 or hold 65 standing, and extra deck space can be added. Combine Karma with the Verandah and the space seats 80 or takes 150 for a cocktail party, which is the largest option. Each area has a screen for photo slideshows, a cordless microphone for speeches, an in-house playlist and a connection for your own device. A DJ can be booked into Karma or the combined Karma and Verandah space, plugging into the house speakers. Food runs from share and canapé platters to cold and hot buffets for 30 or more guests. Drinks can be set up as a package of two or three hours, or as a bar tab with a limit you choose. You can bring a celebration cake for a flat $30 fee, and balloons and decorations are welcome, though nothing may be stuck to the walls. Guests under 18 may attend with a parent or guardian, but must leave by 10pm. Menu choices are due two weeks out and food is paid a week before the date.
