POP 'N' PROP is a family-owned party hire and styling business based in the Sutherland Shire, working across Sydney and surrounding areas. It covers a lot of ground for one business: giant letters and numbers, neon signs, backyard cinema, bell tent glamping, teepee sleepovers, pop-up picnics, balloons and themed party styling, and you can either have the team style and clear everything away or hire the pieces and do it yourself. For signage and milestones, the team hires large 3D numbers and letters with cake tables, florals and backdrops, and can make up your own design and colours. The neon range includes 18, 21, 30 and 50, Happy Birthday, Let's Party, Marry Me, Baby, It's a Boy and It's a Girl. Dry-hire props include plinths, easels, acrylic circles with sign writing, light-up letters and numbers, mirror balls, party lights, smoke machines, candy bar dispensers and themed pieces. Balloon work runs from bouquets and stuffed balloons to garlands and balloon marquees, and the business belongs to the Pro Environment Balloon Alliance. The outdoor cinema package includes a 3300-lumen projector, an inflatable or pop-up screen from 98 to 275 inches, twin speakers and all the cables, and it can play from a streaming stick or a games console. Popcorn, fairy floss and snow cone machines can be added with supplies. Bell tents run from 3m to 6m, and teepee sleepover packages come with bedding and decor. Screenings in public spaces need a licence, which the team can help arrange.
Do they do kids' sleepover parties?
Yes. Teepee sleepover packages start at $50 a teepee for DIY hire, with bedding and decor in your chosen colours, and bell tents from 3m to 6m can be hired too, starting at $100 for a 3m tent on its own.
