About Scott Day
Scott Day is a solo acoustic guitarist and singer who has been part of Sydney's live music scene for about 25 years. Over that time he has played in bands, tribute shows and duos as well as on his own, and he now works as a solo act for private parties, weddings, corporate functions, pubs and clubs. Everything in his show is played and sung live, with no backing tracks. His voice is warm but has power when needed, which lets him move between styles easily, and his list covers artists that appeal across generations, such as Crowded House, INXS, Cat Stevens, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, Oasis, Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol and Matchbox 20. That mix makes him a good fit for gatherings where guests range from twenty-somethings to grandparents and everyone wants to sing along. Scott keeps his sets relaxed and friendly, talks with the audience and adjusts the songs as the night goes, including taking requests when the mood calls for a lift. He brings good quality PA and lighting, so a host only needs to provide space and power. Venues such as golf clubs and breweries in Sydney have booked him regularly, and private hosts have used him for home parties. Enquiries go through his website form, by email or by phone, and a booking is confirmed once he has replied to the enquiry.
