About Gavin Libotte Guitar
Gavin Libotte is a Sydney guitarist and composer who has been performing for around 30 years. He plays events, weddings and functions as a solo guitarist, and can put together duos, trios and bigger line-ups with other Sydney musicians and singers. His playing covers jazz, Latin and Brazilian, pop, classical and blues, and he also teaches, records guitar parts from his studio and releases albums of his own compositions. Weddings are a big part of his work, with more than 20 years spent playing ceremonies and receptions. A ceremony package of one to three hours covers music as guests arrive, your chosen processional, signing and recessional songs, and music through canapés. The ceremony and reception package runs four to seven hours and carries on through dinner and the first dance, while a reception-only option of four to six hours covers arrival drinks and dinner music. Gavin personally arranges and learns any song you ask for. The repertoire mixes covers and originals across jazz, soul, pop, Latin, folk, blues, dance and classical styles. Bookings can grow to a duo, trio or quartet, adding players such as a singer, cellist, violinist, bassist, percussionist, saxophonist, flautist, accordionist, keyboardist or a second guitarist, and a DJ or dance band can be added to the longer packages. Every booking comes with a free consultation, guidance, song suggestions and equipment. Packages start at $500, with the final price set by the number of performers, the location, the length of the performance and travel time.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Gavin Libotte charge for a wedding?
Wedding packages start at $500. The final quote depends on how many performers you want, where the wedding is, how long he plays and the travel involved.
What wedding packages does he offer?
Ceremony only (one to three hours), ceremony and reception (four to seven hours), and reception only (four to six hours), each covering music for the key moments of that part of the day.
Can Gavin play a song that isn't in his repertoire?
Yes. He arranges and learns requested songs himself, whether that is your processional, signing music or first dance, and performs them on guitar.
Can we add other musicians?
Yes. A booking can become a duo, trio or quartet by adding vocals, strings, woodwind, keys, accordion, bass, percussion or a second guitar, and a DJ or dance band can be added to longer packages.
How far will Gavin travel?
He plays throughout metropolitan Sydney and travels to the Hunter, the Illawarra, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands and further afield, with travel time factored into the quote.
