About Vesna Grasso Floral and Event Design
Vesna Grasso Floral and Event Design grew out of a home business in Casula more than 20 years ago. Vesna trained in floristry at Padstow TAFE, went on to teach there for four years, and built a following doing flowers for the engagements and weddings of friends and family. The business has since designed bouquets for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, appeared at the ABC Garden Show and won Australian Bridal Industry Awards in three consecutive years. It now works from a studio in Auburn. Weddings remain a big part of the work, but the team is just as busy with family celebrations. Its events gallery includes engagement parties, a 21st, a christening, a baby shower and a bridal shower, each transformed with generous floral walls and arches, dressed tables, custom signage and themed details. Over the years the service has expanded from flowers into theming, styling and decorating a whole room, and Vesna can also take on the planning and coordination of an event, which suits families who would rather hand the look of the day to one team. Bookings begin with a free one-hour consultation with Vesna or one of her stylists, covering colours, flowers, style and delivery, after which you receive a detailed quote. Further styling appointments are charged by the hour, and a 20 per cent deposit confirms the booking. The studio also runs a hire catalogue of plinths, stands, pedestals, vases and tableware that can be booked online. Vesna Grasso suits big family celebrations where the flowers and styling are expected to be a talking point.
