About My Violet
My Violet began in 2008 on founder Myra Violet Perez's dining table and is now a floral studio in Redfern, home to Myra's own collection of vases gathered over the years. Her way of working comes from her mother's unconventional approach to growing and arranging flowers, and the studio's guiding idea is colour, texture and shape. The result is loose, romantic, free-form arrangements in rich, saturated tones that have featured in Australian Vogue, Vogue Living, Harper's Bazaar and Women's Weekly. After more than 15 years, the studio's event work takes in corporate lunches, small private gatherings, editorial shoots and brand pop-ups. Regular clients among restaurants and luxury labels include Tiffany & Co., Dior, Cartier, Porteño, Nomad and Rachel Gilbert, with portfolio work ranging from a Dior activation on the harbour to styled long-table lunches and restaurant installations. Weddings are a large part of the studio's work too, from Darling Point and Vaucluse House in Sydney to Bowral, Mona Farm and the Wolgan Valley, and several have been featured in Vogue Brides. The studio in Redfern is open by appointment, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. There are separate enquiry forms for corporate, event and wedding work, and the team asks for as much detail as possible so it can quote accurately, usually coming back within 24 hours. Dates are open now for the rest of this year and for 2027. A small online shop also sells arrangements for delivery near the CBD.
