Christmas Party Venues in Dee Why

What to Know Before Booking Christmas Party Venues

End-of-year functions on the Northern Beaches often land in Dee Why, where one club can take a whole company and the other suits a team that would rather be outdoors with a bowl in hand.

At 932 Pittwater Road, Dee Why RSL runs its functions through DY Events and has spaces from a 30-guest room to a Showroom for gala dinners of 500. Over on Fisher Road North, Dee Why Bowling Club lists work functions and bowls days among its bookings and shapes packages around the group and budget.

Sizing the work Christmas party in Dee Why:

A company gala: the RSL Showroom, two levels with a stage, dance floor, own bar and full sound and lighting
A department dinner of 90: the two Luana rooms at the RSL opened into one
A team afternoon of up to 150: the bowling club's two greens with the outdoor bar
A board or leadership lunch: the RSL's Jackson Room for up to 30
Drinks for 40 after work: the Bowls Bar downstairs at the bowling club, from $250 room hire

For a party that starts with drinks before dinner, the RSL's semi-private Lounge, glass-walled on two sides and fitted with a long marble bar, sits next door to the Showroom.

Barefoot bowls on the green gives new starters and senior staff something to do together
Battery House, the RSL's sports bar, has semi-private areas in front of a giant screen for a looser crowd
The Oaks Room splits into two, keeping a quieter end for conversation
The RSL's bowling and games centre is on site for anyone who wants to play after dinner

Budgeting a December booking in Dee Why

The bowling club charges green hire by the length of the booking, with the outdoor bar available exclusively as an extra
Platters at the bowling club are ordered ahead, from bread and dips to hot Asian and Aussie platters
DY Events quotes each RSL package after an enquiry covering the space, guest numbers and catering
The RSL's enquiry form also asks about audio-visual needs, useful when the boss has slides for the year in review
