The Vintage Kitchen is a Normanhurst high tea caterer run by Hayley, whose love of vintage tea sets goes back to her grandmother's garden in North London. Every booking pairs food with coordinated vintage crockery, so a baby shower, bridal shower, hens afternoon or milestone birthday arrives looking like a proper tea party. The menu mixes finger sandwiches, golden savouries such as sausage rolls and pies, scones baked on the morning of the event and petite cakes, slices and tarts. Packages are named after Alice in Wonderland characters and priced per guest. DIY packages include the food and tableware for collection from Normanhurst and suit hosts happy to set their own table. Full-service packages add teas, white tablecloths, a hot water urn, table menus, delivery within 20 km, setup, pack down and off-site washing up, and the larger ones include crystal flutes. A small group option covers intimate gatherings of 10 to 17 guests, and larger events run up to about 200. Wait staff can be added at one per 30 guests. The whole cake range is gluten-free, with dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian choices too, and allergy limits explained clearly before you book. For hosts who have the food handled, the team also hires out vintage crockery and offers a setup service that styles the table and packs it away afterwards.
