About Romanzo Woodfired Pizza
Romanzo Woodfired Pizza is the mobile pizzeria of chef Roberto, who grew up in a small Calabrian village and now brings a woodfire oven to parties around Sydney from his base in Wolli Creek. The pizzas are made to order at the event, using ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte, prosciutto and porcini. There are five pizza menus. Traditional covers marinara, margherita, diavola and quattro formaggi; Family adds bruschetta, calzone and a butcher's pizza; Australian brings supreme, meat lovers and Hawaiian; Artisan features prosciutto with mascarpone, mortadella with ricotta and prawn with zucchini; and Custom lets you mix across the others. Each menu ends with a Nutella or Biscoff dessert pizza. Beyond pizza, the extended menu offers Italian grazing boards, burrata, arancini, woodfire-baked gnocchi and rigatoni, roast chicken and lamb, salads, cannoli and tiramisu. The team arrives 60 to 90 minutes ahead to set up and heat the oven, then serves for two to three hours depending on numbers. A flat outdoor area of about 5 by 3 metres suits the full setup, and single ovens are available for tighter spaces. Gluten-free bases, vegan pizzas and halal products can be arranged with notice. It works well for 18th and 21st birthdays, backyard parties, engagements and corporate lunches.

How much space does the oven need?
Romanzo asks for a flat outdoor area of roughly 5 by 3 metres for the oven and service station. For smaller spaces a single pizza oven can be brought instead.
How long does the pizza service run?
The crew turns up 60 to 90 minutes ahead of the first pizza to build the setup and heat the oven, then serves for around two to three hours depending on the size of the party.
Can Romanzo cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. With prior notice they provide gluten-free pizza bases, vegan pizzas and halal products, and can adjust dishes for other dietary needs.
Is there a minimum spend?
Yes. The minimum spend is $1,000 for Monday to Thursday events and $1,200 for Friday to Sunday. Children aged 5 to 10 are priced at $15 each.
Is there more than pizza on the menu?
The extended menu adds Italian grazing boards, burrata, arancini, baked pasta trays, woodfired chicken and lamb, salads, cannoli and tiramisu.
