About Eclipse

Eclipse is the large-group boat in the Sydney Charter Boat fleet, a 90-foot catamaran that the owners have been running on Sydney Harbour for well over a decade. Because the people who own the boat also crew and plan the charters, you deal with the same small team from the first enquiry through to docking. The boat is divided into five entertaining areas across two levels. There's a formal dining room that seats 90, a separate cocktail lounge, generous decks at the bow and stern, and viewing decks for watching the harbour roll past. The dance floor extends out over the water with a stage area beside it, licensed bars run upstairs and downstairs, and the indoor spaces are climate controlled. Surround sound with a microphone covers speeches, and there are six bathrooms on board. Eclipse holds up to 240 guests for a standing event. Catering packs range from roaming canapés to classic and premium grazing buffets and a seated set menu served in the dining room, and drinks are sold as hourly packages with optional spirit upgrades. For groups that prefer it, BYO food and BYO drinks are each available for a per-guest fee. The boat regularly hosts corporate functions and team events, engagement parties, weddings, milestone birthdays, Christmas parties, hens and bucks nights. Laser clay shooting from the front deck, photo booths in the cocktail lounge, live bands and dancers can all be added. Guests board at King Street Wharf, Rose Bay, Double Bay or another wharf by arrangement, and split pick-up and drop-off points can be organised.
