About Blue Room
Blue Room, also known as Clearview Blue, is one of the glass boats run by The Clearview Collection. The 85-foot vessel is built around a main deck enclosed by windows about three metres high, so the harbour stays in view from every seat, and the whole boat is air conditioned for year-round events. The main deck has no pillars, which makes it easy to lay out: round tables for a wedding, a long banquet for a gala dinner, or open floor for a cocktail party with a dance floor added. Upstairs, the Sky Deck has a retractable roof that opens for drinks under the sky and closes over when it rains, with a bar and lounge area for mingling. Wrap-around outer decks on the main level give guests somewhere to step out for photos and fresh air. A built-in sound and PA system covers speeches, and a DJ, band, photo booth or projector can be added. Blue Room takes between 70 and 380 guests. Standing cocktail events use the full capacity, while seated dinners hold fewer depending on the layout and whether a dance floor goes in. Every charter is catered by the Clearview team, with canapé menus, seated buffets, food stations and a three-course dinner, paired with hourly drinks packages from soft drinks through to top-shelf spirits. Cruises run for a minimum of four hours from King Street Wharf or Casino Wharf, and an events team plans the details with you beforehand. The boat suits weddings, corporate and gala dinners, conference evenings, school formals, milestone birthdays and end-of-year parties.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests fit on Blue Room?
Blue Room takes a minimum of 70 and a maximum of 380 guests. The top figure is for a standing cocktail event; seated dinners and weddings hold fewer, depending on the table layout and whether a dance floor is included.
Can we bring our own food or drinks?
Plan on a fully catered charter. Food comes from the Clearview menus and drinks from hourly beverage packages, and your event manager can advise on anything extra such as bringing a celebration cake.
What does it cost to hire Blue Room?
Boat hire starts from $1,500 per hour with a 4-hour minimum. The hourly rate is higher from October to March, November and December dates carry minimum spends, and catering, drinks, wharf fees and entertainment are quoted on top.
Where do guests board?
Blue Room picks up from the CBD wharves, including King Street Wharf and Casino Wharf, with a fee for each stop. Wharves outside the CBD can be arranged at an extra charge.
What happens if it rains?
The main deck is enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass and air conditioned, and the Sky Deck roof closes over in bad weather, so the event carries on inside with the views intact.
Can we have a DJ, band or photo booth?
Yes. An in-house DJ, photographer, photo booth and projector with screen can be booked, or bring your own DJ with their own equipment. Bands can set up inside near the DJ area, with pre-access before the cruise. Swimming isn't offered.

We used them for a private event (with dinner) - everything was 5 star and this was truly the highlight of our Sydney Marathon trip in August. Thank you team.
