Catered charters, booked together with the per-person food and beverage packages, are $2,000 for 3 hours or $2,600 for 4 hours from January to October, and $2,200 or $3,000 in November and December, with a minimum of 50 guests. Catered charters aren't offered on Friday and Saturday nights from the last weekend of November to Christmas Eve, when the Christmas package applies instead: $155 per person for a 4-hour cruise with a minimum of 70 guests, including a buffet or cocktail menu, the Diamond beverage package, city wharf fees and Bluetooth sound.

BYO charters for up to 50 guests run January to October only, at $2,600 for 3 hours or $3,200 for 4 hours plus a $15 per person BYO fee. Public holidays and special dates are priced on request.

Other costs: wharf fees ($75 King Street, $90 Convention Wharf, $375 Manly), $250 for up to an hour of pre-access setup (maximum 3 people), $300 per bar staff member for cash or tab bars (one per 50 guests), and security for birthday events where guests are 24 or under (one guard per 80 guests at $350 each). A $800 deposit secures the date, the balance is due 10 days before, and a $500 refundable bond applies.

An onboard chef cooks from the boat's full galley. Simple options start with cheese platters at $10 per person and gourmet pizza platters at $15 per person. Set menus are $28 per person for the Clifton Gardens roaming canape menu (chicken skewers, calamari, beef sliders, arancini, gourmet pies and quiches, then cakes), the Farm Cove hot roast buffet (beef striploin, roast chicken and roast vegetables) or the Freshwater BBQ (beef skewers, finger lime chicken and a spread of salads). Step up to the Rushcutters Bay Buffet at $40 per person, with glazed ham, slow-roasted beef and an Australian cheese board, or the Rose Bay Buffet at $48 per person, with baked salmon, eye fillet and chicken supreme. Many dishes are gluten free or vegetarian.

BYO food is allowed on BYO charters for up to 50 guests, January to October. Bring disposable plates, cutlery and cups; the galley and fridges aren't available and everything needs to come aboard at boarding.

The licensed bar offers a juice and soft drink package at $14 per person, the Diamond package at $46 per person (beers, a range of South Australian wines and French sparkling) and the Platinum package at $56 per person, which adds more wines plus house spirits. All packages cover 4 hours. You can also run a bar tab or pay as you go from a drinks list available on request, with a $300 bar staff fee per 50 guests.

BYO drinks are only available on BYO charters of up to 50 guests (January to October), with two large tubs on board and guests welcome to bring their own eskies and ice. BYO isn't permitted on catered charters, and 18th to 21st birthdays are cash bar or tab only, with no packages or BYO.

Jerry Bailey is available every day, subject to the calendar. Book it for 3 or 4 hours, with a 4-hour all-inclusive package during the Christmas season.

Pick-up is from King Street Wharf in the CBD, Convention Wharf in Darling Harbour or Casino Wharf, with other Sydney Harbour wharves on request, subject to availability and extra fees. Wharf fees are $75 at King Street, $90 at Convention Wharf and $375 at Manly. Pre-access for setup is available for up to an hour before the cruise for $250 (maximum 3 people), subject to the boat's schedule.
